R. C. Cramer completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1993) and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. He obtained his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology with a Child & Family Specialization (2004) from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco Bay Area Campus. Additionally, Dr. Cramer completed a two-year post-graduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas.
Professional training began with a Pre-Doctoral Practicum at the Alameda County Head Start (Oakland, California). Additional year-long practicum sites included the Family Institute of Pinole (Pinole, California) and California Youth Authority, Northern California Reception Unit (Sacremento, California). Dr. Cramer successfully performed his American Psychological Association (APA) Pre-Doctoral Internship at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital (San Diego, California).
Dr. Cramer has been engaged in private practice, in a variety of capacities, since 1998. He has also worked in a number of critical positions, such as the Director of Clinical Services (1996-1998 & 2004-2005) at the Evins Regional Juvenile Center with the Texas Youth Commission (Edinburg, Texas) and Director of Clinical Services & Clinical Psychologist (2005-2013) at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center with the Department of Aging & Disability Services (Corpus Christi, Texas). In 2013, Dr. Cramer left his governmental post and returned to full-time private practice as a Licensed Psychologist (Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists #33980), Licensed Professional Counselor & Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors #15318), and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BACB # 1-13-13235).
Dr. Cramer's professional affiliations include Texas Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, Texas Counseling Association, and American Counseling Association.
With a passion and extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral modalities, Family Systems orientations, and Applied Behavior Analysis, Dr. Cramer works with a range of populations, from children to the elderly, either individually or in groups/families.
