Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
All information between the counselor and client is considered confidential and records are carefully protected. The content of your sessions will not be disclosed to anyone, with some exceptions. Exceptions to confidentiality include:
(1) The counselor is authorized by the client to release information
(2) The counselor is required by law to inform the proper authorities due to
(a) the client presenting a physical danger to self or others
(b) child abuse or elder abuse is suspected
(c) the counselor is ordered by the court to release information
(3) In the case of a counselor-in-training, the counselor will engage in clinical supervision with Dr. Cramer, who will maintain the clients’ confidentiality as stated above.
