Monica was born in Midland Texas in 1974. She grew up in West Texas and moved to Corpus Christi in 2005. She returned back to college and earned her bachelors degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology in 2010 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Currently Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (LPC-I). In her academia internship she was at Spectrum Counseling for a year and a half and is currently employed there after she earned her MS in Counseling May 2013 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She has over 6 years of experience as a Behavior Specialist using Applied Behavior Analysis, where she specialized in Autism and special needs and disabilities. Monica is also the Program Director for Autism Spectrum Resource Center, a local non profit.
Her goal is to be Licensed Professional Counselor and will be reached in February 2015. Monica joined Coastal Bend Psychological Associates in 2013.
