Time
Sessions will be approximately 50 minutes in length. The frequency of sessions will be discussed in the initial session. In general, the length of treatment varies depending on your treatment goals. A client is free to withdraw from therapy at any time. However, clients are encouraged to continue their treatment process. Therefore, we will gladly offer a list of local counselors, as an alternative.
Insurance
Coastal Bend Psychological Associates accept most insurance. If you have insurance with mental health coverage/benefits, bring your insurance card to each appointment. A copy of your insurance card and your drivers’ license will be expected as a part of your initial appointment paperwork. Fees not covered by insurance will be the responsibility of the client. Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment. Payment plans can be arranged if necessary.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my annual deductible and has it been met? What are my co-insurance and co-pay responsibilities.
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel an appointment, you must call the Clinic at least 24 hours in advance. The normal fee will be charged for both missed appointments and appointment(s) cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, except in cases of extreme emergency.
