Joseph A. Soza is a Corpus Christi, Texas native, who recently graduated from Texas A&M University–Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at TAMU-K, Soza was a member of various academic honor societies and conducted physiological/cognitive research as a research assistant in Dr. Brenda Hannon’s cognitive lab.
Presently, Soza is a graduate student affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a graduate student at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where he is in the process of obtaining a master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in clinical psychology.
With the advancement of his knowledge and implementation of psychological assessments and eclectic therapeutic interventions, Soza foresees himself treating a multitude of mental disorders while specializing in treating anxiety, depressive, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.
When Soza is not studying, reading about, or investigating areas regarding psychology, he can usually be found enjoying the present moment. Soza believes that his ultimate purpose is to aid others in overcoming the distress and dysfunction engendered by mental illness and troubles encountered in the course of life.
